A place you truly should not miss while visiting Bali. Jatiluwih is one of the most beautiful rice terrace landscapes in Bali and has even been recognized by UNESCO. Endless green rice fields combined with the view of Mount Batukaru create scenery that feels incredibly peaceful and unforgettable.
There are several trekking routes you can choose from, ranging from short walks to longer paths through the forest area. Personally, I highly recommend taking the longer route because the atmosphere becomes even more beautiful and quiet the deeper you go.
Along the area, you’ll also find a few restaurants, cafés, and small local shops selling products like vanilla, rice, and other local plants. It’s the perfect place to stop for a while, enjoy the moment, and experience the peaceful side of Bali more slowly.
The best time to visit is super early in the morning, when the air still feels fresh and the sunlight is soft and comfortable for walking.
I highly recommend bringing sunglasses and a hat, especially if you plan to explore the longer trekking routes during the day.
