This is spot that can really be visited at any time of day but we recommend a pre breakfast dip to start your day right!

Near it's source in Gloucestershire, the River Thames is actually a beautiful, meandering river with banks of green - it makes for a very peaceful place and in turn good spot to swim. And just outside the village of Lechlade is Cheese Wharf car park, which is the perfect location to get in the water that has recently had a jetty fitted the makes access to the water really easy.

This spot sits on a bend and so we brought some breakfast supplies and swam them over the river to the inside of the bend where a WWII Pill Box. This concrete structure offers the perfect place to climb up and eat breakfast once you've swam.

This is an unreal way to start the day.

Note:

Unfortunately you will need to check the water quality online before getting the the water as its just so unpredictable at the moment. Additionally please be careful and make sure you are a good swimmer before getting into the water.
