How to Get There
Nongjrong is located about 60–65 km from Shillong, in the Mawkynrew block of East Khasi Hills. It takes roughly 2.5 to 3 hours by car, depending on road conditions. The last few kilometers pass through narrow hill roads and beautiful countryside. The road is motorable up to the viewpoint itself, but the best views require a short uphill walk of 5-10 minutes from the parking area. Hiring a local driver or going with someone familiar with the route is recommended, especially if you plan to reach before dawn.
