How to Get There

Khoh Ramhah is about 7–8 km from Sohra (Cherrapunji) town and around 60 km from Shillong. The site is accessible by road, and you can reach it easily by hiring a taxi or driving a private vehicle. Once you reach the area, a short 2–3 minute walk from the roadside takes you directly to the view point. No trek required, just gentle grassy terrain, making it suitable for all ages and fitness levels.

What to Expect

touristy waterfall spot, it’s more subtle, scenic, and deeply peaceful. Here’s what you’ll find:

  • A dramatic vertical waterfall cascading off the edge of a high cliff

  • The iconic cone-shaped Khoh Ramhah rock right beside the fall

  • Vast, open views into the Bangladesh plains

  • Misty air rising from the valley, especially during peak monsoon

  • A perfect place for picnics, drone photography, or just quiet time with nature

The waterfall flows best from June to September, so if you’re visiting during or just after the rains, you're in for a visual treat.

For the Curious

The fall doesn’t have a separate name but is often referred to as Khoh Ramhah Falls. It's tied to local Khasi legends that speak of giants and sacred natural forms, adding a layer of storytelling to what is already a striking place. The geography here is of a high plateau land suddenly dropping into lush valleys, creating the perfect setup for dramatic seasonal waterfalls like this one.
