We had to wait in line for 1 hour so make sure to arrive early, but the quality was absolutely worth the wait. I recommend visiting Tsukimawari Park while you wait.

Btw, I rarely drink beer but I think the charcoal grilled-chicken go really well with beer.

About:

Takamori Dengaku no Sato is a cozy regional restaurant tucked away in a quiet wooded area near Takamori Station. Housed in a charming 200-year-old thatched-roof building, this spot serves up traditional Dengaku cuisine grilled right in front of you robata-yaki style. The unique twist? You can savor it with various types of miso like yuzu and Japanese pepper miso. Don't miss out on their fragrant Dengaku-miso grilled rice balls to wrap up your meal!
