HOBIE JAPAN
Activity
Directions

We came here in December and it was freezing. I think the best time to visit is between March and early November. As we pedalled, Mt. Fuji appeared from the back and the view was fantastic.

We had a picnic over the water which was incredible. I think in the spring, you can bring out a table and enjoy lunch or tea time.

They told us that some people come here to fish on the Hobie. Others will dive into the water from hobie and swim around in the summer.

About:

You’ll find Hobie Japan in a quiet rural spot offering Hobie kayaks, small catamarans for sailing and stable pedalboards, so plan like you’re heading to a small watersports base rather than a resort. Book ahead, arrive early when winds are usually gentler, and expect a short safety briefing and life jacket to be provided; if you want to sail, ask for a beginner lesson because catamarans need basic handling. Bring quick-dry clothes, a windproof layer, water shoes, sunscreen, a towel, ID and some cash in case card machines are limited, and be prepared for limited public transport and on-site parking. Check local weather and cancelation policies before you go since strong winds or rough water can change availability.
