You can hike to this beautiful reflecting pond from the Gondola station. The reflection is weather dependent btw. When I went, it was very foggy and there was no reflection.

Still, the trail itself is very scenic so I think it's a very worthy trail for beginners.

Happo Pond is a small alpine pond above Hakuba that you can reach by the Happo-One gondola or a marked trail from town, followed by a short, easy walk; the setting is more about mountain reflections and wildflowers than swimming or facilities. Aim for early morning for the best mirror-like photos and fewer people, bring a light jacket because weather and wind change quickly, and wear good shoes for uneven boardwalks and rocks.
