Hakata S-C Park is a well-equipped rest stop located on Hakatajima, making it an easy and practical place to stop while cycling the Shimanami Kaido. It sits right along the route and is commonly used by cyclists to take a longer break before or after crossing the surrounding bridges.

The facility typically opens from around 9:00 to 17:00, though hours may vary by season. Inside, you’ll find a casual restaurant and food counter where you can get proper meals, snacks, and drinks. We stopped here to rest and had lunch, and the ramen was honestly really good, especially after a long ride. There are also vending machines, toilets, shaded seating areas, and small shops selling local products, souvenirs, and basic cycling-related items.

Hakata S-C Park also offers bicycle-related services, including rental cycle support and a designated area where cyclists can safely park and rest. It’s a comfortable reset point if you’re doing a long stretch of the route.

One of the highlights is the photo spot near the waterfront, where you can capture wide views of the Seto Inland Sea with bridges and islands in the background. It’s an easy place to stop, refuel, take photos, and enjoy a moment off the bike before continuing your ride.
