We stayed here in November 2025 and it was not bad, but a bit of a walk to the sightseeing spots, about 15 minutes. But it is very economical choice.

About:

Lemonsea Onomichi is a small seaside guesthouse that works well if you want quiet ocean views and a base for the Onomichi temple walk or for starting the Shimanami Kaido ride. Get there via JR to Onomichi Station, then a short taxi or local bus; if you bring a bike, have a decent lock and be ready for some steep streets. Book ahead because rooms are limited, confirm check-in times, and carry some cash since rural places often prefer it; Wi-Fi can be spotty and nearby restaurants close early, so plan your meals.
