A very brief hike if you take the ropeway but the view is so rewarding.

We went during sunset hours which was such a fantastic choice.

About:

Senkou Temple is a small, peaceful countryside Buddhist site, so expect a handful of traditional buildings, a cemetery, and quiet grounds rather than a staffed tourist center. You will probably get there by car or a rare local bus, so plan transport in advance and bring cash for a small donation or incense; signage and staff are likely Japanese only. The temple is generally open during daylight hours but some halls may be closed, so wear shoes you can remove easily, stay quiet and respectful, and feel free to take photos as long as you do not disturb worshippers. Combine the visit with a short walk through the surrounding village or fields for the best experience.
