Marin Park Tarumizu in Kagoshima is one of my favorite spots for marine activities. They offer everything from SUP and kayaking to banana boat rides, and the views of Sakurajima and Kaimondake are unbeatable. Their website is in Japanese, but the staff was incredibly welcoming and will make sure you will have an amazing experience. My coach turned out to be one of Japan’s top SUP athletes, which was a surprise and a thrill! They provide everything you need, from equipment rentals to showers and even BBQ facilities, so you’re all set for a great day by the ocean.
