Moraine Lake is an iconic Canadian lake nestled in the Valley of Ten Peaks in Banff National Park. No trip to Banff is complete without witnessing its breathtaking turquoise waters and looming snow-covered mountains that tower over it. Adventurers can take many exciting activities such as canoeing, rock climbing, and hiking—the popular Larch Valley Trail offers amazing views! There are plenty of places where visitors can relax, picnic, or take photographs of this stunningly beautiful landscape. Although popular-it's not hard to see why-at midnight, you'll find Moraine Lake virtually empty and peaceful. A must-see any time of year, it's particularly magical when the larch trees veil the surrounding mountain landscape in gold and yellow during autumn.
