Medinet Habu is an archaeological site situated near the foot of the Theban Hills on the West Bank of the River Nile opposite Luxor, Egypt. It is best known for the Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III that dates back to the New Kingdom era. Here visitors can find several other ancient structures such as the Temple of Amun, the Temple of Ay and Horemheb, and Great Church of Djeme. Through its long existence this area served both as a temple complex and a town rich with cultures and languages from around the world. Today it is a popular attraction in Egypt due to its great historical and architectural beauty.
