I love stopping here!! It gives me those tummy feelings of mystery and wonder - such a cool spot to explore and camp amongst the towns on the old concrete slabs of the original township.

Mary Kathleen, an abandoned township in Cloncurry, was once a bustling community built around a uranium mine. The town's streets are now empty, with only house slabs remaining as a reminder of its past. Visitors can explore the old town square, tennis courts, and even camp for free on the vacant slabs for a unique experience. Don't forget to check out the turquoise waters of the abandoned mine, but maybe skip the swim!
