Florence Falls is one of my favourites in Litchfield and one you won’t want to miss. As you arrive, you’ll see the incredible twin waterfalls cascading into a crystal-clear plunge pool surrounded by lush forest. You can take in the view from the lookout above, where the scene is nothing short of breathtaking.

To get closer, you’ll descend around 135 steps to the base of the falls (I counted). Once there, you can swim in the cool, refreshing water or relax on the surrounding rocks, soaking in the natural beauty. If you’re up for a walk, the Shady Creek Walk offers a peaceful 1.2km loop through the forest, giving you another perspective of the area.
