Point Gibbon is an absolute gem if you’re chasing a beachfront camp spot, but just a heads-up—it’s pretty popular with caravans. There’s a main campsite right on the beach with flushing toilets, but if you’ve got a 4WD, I’d 100% go for the spots tucked amongst the dunes. Just be warned, it can get seriously windy out here, and the sand dunes can turn a bit hectic if the gusts pick up.

I didn’t camp purely because of the wind, but I still stopped for a swim and lunch, and wow— what a stunning part of the world. The water is crystal clear, and it’s got that remote, wild coastline feel that makes it feel extra special.

It’s pet-friendly, so you can bring your pup along for the adventure, but just be mindful of the wind and shifting sands. If the conditions are right, it’d be an epic place to camp—just maybe check the forecast first!
