Barkly Homestead is a proper little oasis in the middle of nowhere — and honestly, such a good vibe! We pulled in after a big stint on the road and ended up loving it way more than expected. They’ve got this beaut grassy area for camping (yep, grass in the outback!), decent facilities, and they often have live music going which makes it feel like a mini festival in the bush.

The pub meals are solid, cold beers flowing, and the sunsets out here are unreal — pure outback magic. It’s pet friendly too, so the pups can stretch their legs while you kick back. Definitely one of those road trip stops you end up raving about later.
