The Brunswick River is super popular with travellers, especially van lifers, who line the river-front in the evenings, cooking up dinner out the back of their vans while the sun sets in the magical glow. It’s such a vibe—peaceful, social, and so quintessentially coastal Australia.

If you’re an early riser, you have to check out the sunrise over the beach. It’s absolutely stunning and such a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of Byron. There’s something so calming about starting your day with a quiet stroll along the sand as the first light hits the water.

And if you’re sticking around for a Sunday, make sure you hit up the Brunswick Hotel. The live music there is always so fun, and the atmosphere is just unbeatable. Good tunes, a cold drink, and that laid-back Bruns vibe—it’s the perfect way to wrap up a weekend.
