The Tin Hat Hut on the Sunshine Coast Trail is a must-visit for hikers looking for epic views and a cozy cabin experience. Perched on Tin Hat Mountain, this rustic wooden cabin offers stunning 360-degree views of mountains, lakes, and even Vancouver Island in the distance.
Whether you're staying overnight or just stopping by for a day hike, the Tin Hat Hut is the perfect spot to relax, enjoy the scenery, and soak up the beauty of British Columbia's west coast.
I recommend arriving early to secure the best tent pad. I would also avoid staying in the shelter in the summer for the mice! 📸The photo spot is at the summit of the mountain above the cabin and over looking the backside into the Sunshine Coast Valley 📸

To reach the Tin Hat Summit via Spring Lake Started trailhead, you must drive on a long gravel logging road. It is recommended that you use a high-clearance vehicle, but it is not a hard requirement; you will just have to drive more slowly and carefully. This route goes to the Tin Hat Hut on the mountain's summit.
