Waverley station opened in 1846 some 393 miles from London Kings Cross and at 25 acres the largest mainland station outside of London. It lies between the old town and modern Edinburgh, adjacent to Princes Street, Edinburgh Castle and the Princes Street Gardens. It has played a unique role in Scotland’s history vital to the country’s economic success.

Edinburgh Waverley railway station, also known simply as Waverley, is the main train hub in Edinburgh, Scotland. Nestled between the Old Town and New Town, it's a bustling spot with 20 platforms serving as the northern terminus of the East Coast Main Line. With its historic Victorian architecture and constant upgrades, Waverley is a key transport hub connecting travelers to destinations like London, Glasgow, and beyond. Plus, its central location near Princes Street makes it super convenient for exploring the city.
