🌋 Colorful Red Crater Row
🗺️ How to Get There:
Drive south on F208 from the northern entrance to the Highlands (near Sigalda). Before reaching Bláhylur (Hnausapollur) and Landmannalaugar, you'll spot this vivid crater row on the right side of the road. No hiking needed, simply pull over at a safe spot and launch the drone.

Only accessible during summer in a proper 4x4 vehicle.

📅 Best Time of the Year to Visit:
Mid-July to mid-September, when F208 is open and dry. Clear weather brings out the intense color contrasts in the terrain.

📸 Photography Tips

Best time of day:

• Morning or late afternoon for shadows inside the craters

• Midday can work for strong color contrast on the red rim
