This 6 km loop track around Moke Lake is one of my favourite easy walks near Queenstown. It’s flat, cruisy, and the views are next level the whole way around, think glassy reflections, tussocky hills, and sheep just vibing in the paddocks.
Takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on how many times you stop to take photos (which, if you're anything like me, is a lot). I’d recommend doing it around golden hour if you can, the reflections hit differently when the sun’s low. Apparently there’s a secret hill with a full view over the lake, but I couldn’t find the track up. If you do, you’re doing better than me!
Also, check out the campsite here!
