Among the various mosaics that grace the city there is one in particular in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George that is unique in the world: It is located on the floor of the church and is really huge. It depicts the Near East, from the Mediterranean to the desert, from Lebanon to the Nile delta. It has also been ruined by fire, but what you can see hints at what must have just been done. Admission costs 1 JOD per person.

🇮🇹 Tra i vari mosaici che impreziosiscono la città ce n’è uno in particolare nella chiesa greco-ortodossa di San Giorgio che è unico al mondo: Si trova sul pavimento della chiesa ed è davvero enorme. Raffigura il Vicino Oriente, dal Mediterraneo al deserto, dal Libano al delta del Nilo. È stato anche rovinato dal fuoco, ma quello che si vede fa intuire cosa dovesse essere appena fatto.
