There are sunset spots — and then there’s Cap Jaune.
Just a short walk from the banana groves of Vincendo, Cap Jaune opens up like a secret — a raw, golden cliff glowing against the deep blue sea. The volcanic rock here is naturally colored in shades of ochre, rust, and saffron, and when the sun begins to set, the whole landscape seems to ignite.
We reached the edge just as the sky began to shift — soft pinks, streaks of lavender, then that warm, fiery orange that feels like it was made just for you. The waves below were glowing, the wind was light, and the moment was perfect.
👉 Insider Tip: Arrive about 45 minutes before sunset so you don’t rush the walk — and bring a flashlight or headlamp if you plan to return in the dark.
👉 Hidden Gem: There’s a small rocky outcrop near the edge where you can sit quietly and watch the sun dip beneath the horizon — often completely alone.
This is one of those places where nature shows off — and all you have to do is show up and breathe.
