The Ōmarama Clay Cliffs is a unique and captivating natural formation located in the Waitaki, New Zealand. The Clay Cliffs are composed of layers of gravel and silt created by ancient glaciers over one million years ago, and can be accessed along Quailburn Rd from SH8 and then Henburn Rd.

The cliffs are on private land. There's a donation box at the gate where you can pay the $5 vehicle admission fee.

Photography info: I would suggest taking your wide angle lens with you for this spot and visiting in the late morning or afternoon as it can get quite dark inside the cliffs.
