4x4 and HIGH CLEARANCE REQUIRED. DO NOT GO UP HERE IN A 2WD VEHICLE WITH HIGHWAY TIRES.

Best time to photograph - Sunset

This is located on a rough mountain pass road, and although one of the easier passes in the San Juans, it is still a rough road I would want high-clearance and 4x4 capabilities. Parking is extremely limited and you will likely need to park at the switchback heading towards the pass coming from Ophir.
