Hello Mallory

DO NOT TOUCH, STAND, SIT, CARVE ON THESE ASPENS. These have taken a beating with irresponsible visitation over the years and sitting on the tree. It’s up to all of us to protect them. Look but don't touch.

The famous dancing Ophir aspens, but please know parking can be TRICKY. There is no designated parking so please pull off as much as possible. If heading from Ophir town, this will be approx one mile down the dirt road and the curvy aspens will be on your RIGHT. This is the easier and preferred access.

Sometimes, if you put the coordinates in Google or Apple Maps, it will route you over Ophir Pass from 550 -- THIS WAY IS HIGH CLEARANCE AND 4X4. The best way to access the Dancing Aspens is via the town of Ophir.

Shot Location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/t4mgcB6V8mZ3meZJ9

Park Here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/qSkwpCAANzELVafp6 (may have to continue up the road a smidge to find a safe place to park on the right. Typically enough room for 1-2 cars at the coordinates provided)

Best time to shoot -- 8-10am. This will give you backlight, illuminating the aspens and provide an opportunity for a sunburst. The first three photos are mid-morning while the last is in the evening, and you can see how much muted they are.
