Schnebelhorn (1292m) is a mountain located near Fischenthal in Switzerland. It's the highest summit in the canton of Zurich, and it offers some breathtaking views of the surrounding area. You can hike up to the top from different directions, and the trails are pretty accessible for all skill levels. The mountain is mostly covered in lush forests, which adds to its natural beauty. So if you're up for a little adventure and want to soak in some stunning scenery but don't want to travel far, Schnebelhorn is definitely worth a visit!

HOW TO GET THERE:

The hike is a loop hike. Start at Step, Banhof. The hike is 14,6km long with 715 meters of elevation gain. It can take 4 - 5 hours to complete it.

On the way you will pass Sennhütte a mountain hut/inn and you can stop here before the final ascent to Schnebelhorn.

The peak offers a great view and on a clear day even Santis can be seen.

On the way back you will hike towards Rütwies, Chatzenböel and Vorderegg before you reach Steg.
