Martina & GüntherKosovo - see you soon!

Of course, no old town in the Balkans would be complete without a large, lively bazaar. It takes place daily not far northwest of the Ethnographic Museum between Rruga Lidhja e Prizrenit and Iljaz Agushi. It is a prime example of the hectic, bustling atmosphere typical of Balkan markets. All kinds of goods are traded here: fruit, vegetables, meat, cheese, herbs, cigarettes, kitchen utensils, mobile phones, small electrical items, flags, etc. Many of the traders are refugees who have returned from Western Europe and speak English, Italian or German.

But the market also has a long history, dating back to the 15th century. Until the 1960s, it was located in the city centre, where the government buildings are now.

Open daily from 7 a.m.

It is also worth wandering through the surrounding alleys, as nowhere else will you find more authentic and original shops for your daily needs.
