Broughty Ferry Castle Barrack Block Castle Approach is a historic castle located in Broughty Ferry, Dundee, Scotland. Built around 1495, the castle has a rich history of military action during the 16th-century War of the Rough Wooing. It was fortified by the English after the Battle of Pinkie in 1547 and later recaptured by the French and Scots in 1550. The castle was used for defense purposes until the mid-20th century and is now open as a museum operated by Dundee city council.
