Locanda La Brunella in Aulla is a fine spot to partake of the local food of the Lunigiana from panigacci served as pasta with your choice of sauces, or baked in the traditional terracotta teste and served and cured meats and spreadable cheese. Each day, when available, there is pasta with game sauces. You'll enjoy the informal setting, friendly staff and great service. There's parking in front of the restaurant, and the Bar Giardino is right across the street, in case you might want to take your Coffee or get an amaro outside.

Also on the menu is the traditional Mesciua, a soup of grains that had its origin in the time of cucina povera, when women would gather spilled grain from the ships docked in La Spezia and make a nutritious soup out of them.
