This itinerary is for the road trippers who want to experience the raw beauty of Australia's North West! You'll get the chance to uncover all the most amazing and remote spots the outback has to offer among waterfalls, beautiful gorges, national parks and stunning lookouts, bush camping most of the time 🧡

Here you will find all the best spots, free campgrounds, cool station stays along the way with our personal photo tips and travel hacks.

The itinerary goes from Kununurra to Exmouth, covering Purnululu National Park, the Gibb River Road, Broome and Karijini National Park, you can do it backwards if you are starting in Exmouth.

Please note that many spots require a WA National Park Pass and we highly recommend getting an annual all parks pass as it's only 120$ and it covers the whole of WA while daily passes are 15$ a day.

Very important: this is a 4WD itinerary if you decide to do it in full! If you decide to go on a 2WD make sure to check the description of the spot to see if it's suitable 🚙

Day 1 starts at very border with the Northern Territory (it's the way we came from but if you are doing the Coast up the opposite way just start from day 30)

You will head to Lake Argyle first for a refreshing dip in th very iconic Infinity Pool! We also recommend to spend the day at the lake too 💧

Then make your way to the camping spot for the night before driving to Purnululu the next day! Make sure you get groceries and what you might need in Kunnunurra because shopping in towns along the way is extremely expensive.
