Shell Beach is one of the more well-known attractions in Shark Bay and definitely worth a quick stop if you’re passing through. The entire beach is made up of tiny white shells, stretching for over 60 kilometres along the coastline.

While it’s definitely a unique sight, it wasn’t quite as beautiful as we’d imagined. Most of the shells are broken and scattered, and although the crystal clear blue water adds to the view, the beach itself can feel a little underwhelming. When we visited, the flies were also pretty intense, so we didn’t stick around for too long. Still, it’s a quirky natural spot that makes for a cool photo and a quick wander.
