Tomaree Mountain in Port Stephens is a must visit spot for breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. The short but steep 30 minute summit walk will give you stunning views of Port Stephens, Nelson Bay, and Tomaree National Park. The trail consists of concrete pathways, steel steps, and treetop walkways all on a steep incline, making it a semi-challenging but very rewarding adventure. Whether you catch the sunrise or sunset, the view from the top is definitely worth the effort!

I recommend doing the hike in the early hours or late hours of the day, not only for golden lighting but it will also be easier in the cooler weather compared to the midday heat. This spot is quite popular for sunrise and sunset so expect a few people enjoying the view up at the top too.
