Greens Pool is a spot you absolutely can’t miss when visiting Denmark. It’s one of the best swimming spots in the region, thanks to its calm, crystal-clear water that’s protected by a line of granite boulders out the back. The shallow water closer to shore makes it perfect for families or anyone looking to cool off on a hot summer’s day without battling big waves.
If you’re up for a little more adventure, head out further and bring a snorkel. The water gets deeper around the outer rocks where you’ll find all sorts of marine life and colourful fish swimming through the reef pockets. It’s an ideal place to spend the whole day where you can pack a picnic, bring your towel, and soak it all in. Be sure to arrive early to secure a park and enjoy the scenery without the crowds as this is one of the most popular spots on the south coast.
Once you're done here, you can walk just a few minutes over to Elephant Rocks for another stunning spot. These two beaches are right beside each other and make for the perfect day trip. They are both located inside William Bay National Park, but entry into the park is free.
