Big Brook Arboretum Campground is one of our favourite campsites in the South West. Camping beneath the towering karri trees, with walking access to the nearby dam for a swim, made for the perfect forest escape. It’s an ideal spot to disconnect, go off-grid, and unwind in nature.

Camping costs $15 per person per night and must be booked online.

The walk to the dam takes around 25 minutes, or you can drive to the Big Brook Dam car park if you prefer. The dam itself is spacious, with a beautiful grassy and sandy foreshore that is perfect for relaxing after a swim. The water is icy cold but incredibly refreshing. The campsite and walk to the dam are dog friendly, but sadly dogs aren't allowed on the sand by the waters edge.
