Jurien Bay is just 2.5 hours north of Perth and one of our favourite coastal spots to camp right by the beach. The crystal clear, protected waters make it ideal for swimming and snorkelling, and the beach is less than a two minute walk from the campground. It doesn’t get much better than that!

There are a few camping and caravan options around town, but our go to is always the Sandy Cape Recreation Reserve. It’s a simple yet stunning spot with over 100 2WD-accessible campsites in the main area. If you’ve got a 4WD, you can venture further north for more remote bush camping right in the dunes. Campsites cost $25 per night and can now be booked online, which is super handy during busy periods. Whether you’re after a peaceful beach escape or a few days of coastal adventure, Sandy Cape is one of the best places to unwind.
