Hamelin Bay is an iconic stop along the southwest coast. You’ve probably already seen photos of its bright white sand, dramatic limestone cliffs, and the resident stingrays that glide right up to the shoreline. These stingrays are massive and incredibly majestic to see up close, often hanging around the boat ramp in the shallows, especially in the mornings when the water is calm and clear. It’s one of those surreal experiences that makes Hamelin Bay feel extra special. Please remember that they are wild creatures so be sure to maintain distance and do not touch them.

While most people tend to stay near the boat ramp, we recommend walking all the way to the far left end of the beach. There, you’ll find little tracks that take you through the limestone cliffs and open up to a completely secluded bay. It’s an absolute hidden gem that is away from the crowds. The vibrant turquoise water against the white cliffs honestly looks like something straight out of a European summer postcard.
