Main Beach is located right in the hustle and bustle of Gold Coast city, but we like to come to this particular spot at sunset. Sunset is the perfect time to take a photo underneath the palm trees located just outside the Sheraton Resort. The sunset glow over the ocean and tall city skyscrapers in the distance create a very unique feeling that is a mix of both tropical and urban.

To get there, park at the carpark I've pinned on the map and follow the coastal trail towards the Sheraton Resort. You'll shortly come across some sandy beach access pathways that are lined with tall palm trees, perfect for a photo opportunity.

*Due to the 2025 cyclone in the Gold Coast, this spot may look different. We haven't visited since the cyclone but have seen photos where most of the palm trees are now gone.
