The Red Rock Walking Trail in Agnes Water is an epic coastal hike that takes you around the rugged red headlands to tropical secluded beaches. Along the way, you'll pass vibrant red rock formations, hidden coves with palm trees and large stretches of secluded beaches so you can take your pick and find a spot to chill for the day.
The beaches along the trail are perfect for a refreshing dip at any point during the hike. We loved taking a break under the palm trees and soaking up the views of the secluded beach. It felt like our own private paradise, far away from the crowds.
From the main Red Rock Track Carpark there is a short boardwalk onto Springs Beach and the official start of the Red Rock Trail is located to the right of the beach on the rocky headland. The trail continues over the headland and takes you along different beaches.
The whole trail is 6km return and takes around 2 hours to complete. You'll mainly be walking along the sand which can get very hot and some rocky sections on the headlands so bring shoes.
Last time we visited, the entry to the carpark off the main road was quite bad with massive potholes, so take it slow. You can also park on the flat clearing just before the turn off on Springs Road and walk instead.
