Simpson Beach is one of the most unique and vibrant spots in Broome, known for its mesmerising contrast of orange sand and turquoise water. The colours are just as bold and beautiful in person, and it’s an absolute must visit if you’re chasing those iconic Broome views.
It’s not the best beach for swimming as the water can be a bit murky and, being croc country, we decided to play it safe.
If you’re after those perfect shots of the orange meeting the blue, make sure to time your visit for low tide and low wind. At high tide, the blue ocean swallows the whole beach and you’ll miss the orange sand which adds to the contrast. If you also visit when there's no wind, the water won't have any ripples and it'll look so soft and dreamy!
