Hiring a boat to explore the Noosa River was so much fun! It's such a great way to explore the river at your own pace and driving the boat is incredibly easy. You can cruise along the river, stop for a swim, or pull up at one of the sandy banks to check out. It was our first time driving a boat and it was so easy to pick up. You don’t need a boat licence to hire one, and they have a range of options, including pontoons, tinnies, and even BBQ boats. The boats are well-equipped with shade and seating, making it a comfortable and laid back way to experience Noosa from the water.

We hired our boat through U-Drive Boat Hire in Noosa. They have a few options available with different boat sizes. It was just the two of us and our dog so we opted for their centre console boat which seats up to 4 people. Prices start at $70 for 1 hour but I'd recommend at least 2 hours out on the water for the best experience as the boats are slow and it can take a while to cruise to the spot you want to check out. We headed straight towards the Noosa River entrance to check out all the sand banks which were great for a swim. I'd highly recommend hiring a boat for the ultimate relaxed day on the water with friends, family and even your dog!
