Hidden gem in Albany

Beach

The far end of Frenchman Bay is known as Whalers Beach and is a quick walk along the beach from the carpark area. There are also hidden stairs leading down to Whalers Beach, which is accessible from St Georges Crescent. Whalers Beach is often less crowded than Frenchman Bay due to there not being a designated carpark on this side of the beach, although it typically means it's a lot more pristine. The turquoise water here is untouched and the views overlooking the bay and islands in the distance are picture perfect. In our opinion, Whalers Beach is up there as one of the best beaches in Albany.

Tip: There’s a big boulder to the right of the stairs with a rope that you can climb up for a super cool photo from a higher angle.
