The idyllic Tallebudgera Creek is perfect for swimming amongst the crystal clear water. It's calm and protected, making it ideal for escaping the winds and rough ocean swell. Along the creek you'll also find plenty of spots for a picnic. This place can get very busy during the summer months with families, so I find that the northern side of the creek is a little less crowded. You can either walk over the bridge or park at the much smaller parking area near the Aboriginal culture centre.

For those seeking a bit more adventure, you can take the scenic Burleigh Headland Walk. It starts on the northern side of the creek and winds through lush bushland with stunning ocean views. The trail leads all the way around to Burleigh Hill. After your swim or walk, there are plenty of cafes nearby for you to grab a coffee or lunch.
