Standley Chasm is a great spot for some amazing photos. It’s best to time your visit around 12pm, when the sun will be directly over the narrow chasm, casting a magical ray of light. As soon as the sun peaks into the chasm, the walls glow a bright orange, which looks incredible and adds a pop of colour to your photos. This is also the most popular time of day for visitors so you'll need a bit of patience to time your shot without any crowds.

From the entrance, it’s about a 15–20 minute walk along a 1km track that takes you through the dry riverbed and eventually into the narrow chasm at the end. Entry costs $12 per person and can be purchased online or at the kiosk at the entrance. You can also grab a quick snack or some refreshments from the kiosk after the hike.
