We went with Ocean Safari on the morning tour and had an amazing time! The reef was some of the most vibrant we've seen and the variety of marine life was epic. We spotted a bunch of tropical fish, eagle rays and even a small reef shark. The tour is such a great way to experience the Great Barrier Reef and the incredible sand island known as Mackay Coral Cay. Stopping off at this small sand island surrounded by tropical blue water and being able to snorkel amongst the fringing reef was such a memorable experience.

The half day tours are $200 per person and include a visit to two reefs along with all snorkeling equipment. Morning tours start at 7:30am and returns at 12:30pm while the afternoon tour starts at 11:30 and returns at 4:30pm. You'll board the boat from the main beach in Cape Tribulation and as you head out to the reefs you'll be able to look back and see the lush rainforest.
