Perth is a vibrant city on Australia’s west coast where city life meets a laid back coastal lifestyle. Spend your days exploring the buzzing food and coffee scene, wandering through the markets in Fremantle, or relaxing at one of the many nearby beaches. Just minutes from the CBD you will find stunning stretches of coastline with Cottesloe and Scarborough being our local favourites, perfect for a swim, surf, or sunset picnic.
Perth is also home to a thriving brewery scene with plenty of spots serving up craft beers to enjoy after a day in the sun. Gage Roads and Little Creatures are two of our absolute favourite breweries that we always go to when visiting Perth. If you're looking to do some shopping, head into Three Stories for their collection of surfboards and coastal clothing. For those with a sweet tooth, visit Get Chunky for the most insane range of loaded cookies.
For the ultimate escape, you can hop on a short ferry ride to Rottnest Island where white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and a touch of European summer vibes make it a must visit. Rottnest Island is just a 30 minute ferry ride from Fremantle in Perth. If you are going from Fremantle, ferries depart from the B-Shed at Victoria Quay, with return tickets starting from $80. You can also catch the ferry from Perth CBD, although it tends to be more expensive and takes longer. If you are planning a day trip, we recommend booking early to catch the earliest ferry and make the most of your time on the island.
