Smiths Beach is a stunning stretch of coastline in Yallingup and easily one of our favourites in the region. It’s spacious enough that you’ll almost always find a quiet spot to yourself, and it’s such a versatile beach with something for everyone. On the far left, you can park by the log on the headland and swim in the more protected, calmer waters which is perfect for a relaxing dip. The middle section is ideal for lounging on the soft sand and soaking up the sun, while the right side is popular with surfers catching waves that roll in over the shallow reefs.
When the weather’s calm, this place absolutely shines. The water turns an incredible shade of blue, the sand is powdery soft, and the views of the surrounding national parkland are nothing short of breathtaking. We always head to the far-left car park near the headland and the iconic log which became our go-to spot for watching the sunrise or unwinding with a peaceful sunset. The signage for dogs at this beach can be confusing, but dogs are allowed on the beach except during summer.
