Cicada Lodge is the ultimate place to stay if you’re looking to treat yourself while exploring the beauty of Nitmiluk National Park. This luxury eco-lodge is tucked right inside the park, offering spacious rooms, a small pool area, and one of the best onsite restaurants we come across during our time in the Top End. We tried their three course dinner and were blown away by the quality of the food, especially considering the lodge is in a national park.

The lodge is perfectly positioned just minutes from where the gorge tours depart and from Baruwei Lookout, which is a must visit at sunset for incredible views over the gorge and surrounding ranges.

It is definitely on the pricier side, so if you’re travelling on a budget, there’s also a nearby caravan park with more affordable options. But if you’re keen to splurge a bit, this is such a beautiful and peaceful base to come back to after a day of exploring.
