We stayed at Basalt and honestly couldn't recommend it enough. This beautiful luxury property features three architecturally designed villas overlooking a cherry orchard and the surrounding countryside. It's peaceful, private, and one of the most memorable places we've stayed in the region.

Every detail has been carefully thought out, with stylish interiors, floor to ceiling windows, a fully equipped kitchen, and a private outdoor fireplace that makes it the perfect place to slow down and relax. It feels incredibly cosy, especially during the cooler months.

We ordered one of their pre prepared dinners with a bottle of local Mudgee wine and spent the evening enjoying a quiet date night in the villa, making the most of the peaceful atmosphere and fireplace. Waking up to views across the orchard with a coffee in hand was just as special.
